The passion behind our restaurants
Kim and Sam Wightman first opened Le Jardin, near Kinross, in 1992 fuelled with their passion of offering simple yet delicious food, as well as friendly service, every time. The couple then went on to open Café Kisa in Auchterarder in 2004 and then Kisa’s of Perth in 2015.
Head Chef, Sam, loves nothing more than sourcing local suppliers and fresh ingredients to be able to offer a simple twist on the classics (cucumber mayonnaise, curried chicken with banana and kiwi jam are just a few of his favourites).
You’ll find Kim running the show at Kisa’s with the support of her front of house team. Working in hospitality has always been Kim’s passion, starting work in her mother’s hotel in Aberfoyle before moving on to experience the food and beverage scene of many 4* Scottish hotels.
Meet the team
Kim and Sam’s passion is shared across many in their family.
Eldest son, Samuel, followed in his father’s footsteps to become Head Chef at Café Kisa in Auchterarder. Youngest children, Ryan and Kisa, are often found behind the bar at Kisa’s mixing cocktails. Auntie Julie is the Head Chef at Le Jardin and Uncle Neil has given us a well-known favourite recipe in his fruit slice.
